A brilliant interpretation of Dizzy Gillespie’s Groovin’ High. The great arrangement and composition of the be-bop legend in combination with the improvisatory impact of the trio is a coming together of high musical levels. DeJohnette shows his undisputed competence with realising his grooves from any kind of genre cliché, perfect supported by Peacock, without loosing the view on the groove by itself. So the rhythm group gives Jarrett freedom for his typical digressions and that’s exactly what he needs.
